First Public Performance for New Road Band

One highlight of the Memorial Day Parade sponsored by the Jamesburg Chamber of Commerce was the float which carried the band from the New Road School of Somerset. This was our band’s first public performance and you can bet it was a rouser!
Sponsored by the Jamesburg’s Elks, the New Road float, complete with decorations, was a tribute to students with outstanding musical talent despite other learning challenges. For Band Director, Thomas Sparacio, it was, “The proudest moment of my life to see my students reach this tremendous goal!”
