A Chance To Reconnect

Student alumni events are held two times per year during the fall and spring at the New Road School of Somerset facility. They are wonderful opportunities for New Road School graduates to connect with old friends and staff for an evening of food, dancing and games. These events are typically held on a weeknight between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. and are by invitation only.
This past April, a Jeopardy game was set up on the Main Street Stage and teams challenged each other for points. Music was provided by DJ Chris, and alumni were encouraged to dance, mingle and have fun. Finger foods, snacks and juice were served.
Even considering the various fun activities available, students seemed to have the most fun talking and catching up on the latest news about each other. The events are very special for staff, also, providing them the opportunity to catch up with the progress of their former students. By - Sandy Seymour
